Professional Videographer in Belfast, Northern Ireland

Lloyd Edgar is a Belfast videographer who produces cinematic, broadcast-tier brand films for businesses, councils, cultural institutions and agencies across Belfast, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the UK. Drawing on his directorial work for BBC One, Channel 5, RTÉ and TG4, Lloyd applies broadcast documentary techniques to commercial storytelling — producing films that don't just promote a brand but define how it is perceived.

Don't just tell them what you do. Show them why it matters.

Bespoke, broadcast-tier brand films turn your company’s mission into a lasting emotional connection and lifelong customer loyalty.

What is a Brand Film?

Standard social media ads tell customers what you sell. They’re built for the daily feed - fast, fleeting and transactional.

A Brand Film tells customers why you exist.

Using the same documentary storytelling techniques I apply when directing for BBC One,Channel 5 and RTÉ, I am a Belfast videographer who creates cinematic films that define how your business is perceived. They establish tone, signal quality and become the foundation that every future campaign, advert and social asset builds upon.

For many new customers, this will be their first touchpoint with your company. In just a few minutes, it can build trust, authority and emotional connection - shaping how they interpret everything that follows.

Consider the annual Christmas campaigns from John Lewis. They aren’t just adverts; they’re emotional assets that help define the brand itself.

That is the role of a Brand Film: to clarify your purpose, anchor your prestige and leave a lasting impression long after the screen goes dark

Featured Work: Origin Gymnastics –
The Launch Film

  • The Mission: To launch a new brand with a world-class statement. Origin Gymnastics needed an unforgettable visual identity to drive their rapid growth phase, immediately establish authority, and impress local politicians, business owners, and VIPs at their inaugural event.

  • The Result: We took Olympic Gold Medalist Rhys McClenaghan MBE - and a pommel horse - to the top of Scrabo Hill. Set against the breathtaking views of Newtownards, Rhys performed his winning routine. This striking, singular image became the definitive face of the brand. It anchored their website homepage for their entire first year of rapid growth and served as the cinematic centerpiece of their VIP launch event.

  • The Execution: I handled the entire pipeline. From the initial ideation (pitching the logistics of getting a pommel horse up a historic landmark) through to production prep, directing, shooting, and the final broadcast-level edit. Delivered perfectly on time and on budget. The client got a flagship, legacy-defining asset; I handled all the heavy lifting.

Featured Work: Nomad Counters – Global Product & Trade Show Film

  • The Mission: Nomad - a cutting-edge data technology company specialising in pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle counting - needed to communicate a highly technical product to a global audience in seconds. They needed a visual asset that could stop foot traffic at international trade shows and instantly convert web traffic at home.

  • The Result: A sleek, dynamic brand film that translates complex data-capture technology into a compelling visual story. Utilising bespoke 2D motion graphics and After Effects animation, the film instantly communicates the product's function and value. This piece became the first touchpoint for new global customers, anchoring their website homepage and playing on continuous loops at major industry trade shows across America and Europe.

  • The Execution: Turning complex tech into an engaging story takes work - but the client didn't have to lift a finger. I managed the end-to-end process: concepting the visual communication, storyboarding, animating, editing, and delivering the final high-fidelity file. Delivered on time and on budget, giving their international sales team an elite, done-for-you tool to close deals worldwide. To ensure frictionless entry into these new markets, I also fully localised the campaign by producing and integrating six bespoke versions, including Swedish, German, Spanish, French, and targeted regional English accents.

Featured Work: Ards and North Down Borough Council – Bangor City Status

The Mission: When Bangor was officially granted city status as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Ards and North Down Borough Council faced a unique challenge: how do you turn a prestigious new title into a shared sense of local pride? They needed a definitive visual narrative that would go beyond a press release—something that would resonate with residents and authentically capture the weight of this historic transition.

The Result: I produced Heritage, Heart and Hope, a cinematic trilogy of films that served as the centerpiece for the 2023 city status celebrations.

  • Heritage: Explored the monastic and maritime roots that built the foundation.

  • Heart: Celebrated the vibrant, creative, and diverse community that defines the city today.

  • Hope: Set an ambitious, forward-looking tone for Bangor’s future. The series was widely deployed across the Council’s digital channels and screened at civic events, successfully bridging the gap between official legislation and community identity. It didn't just "inform" the residents; it gave them a reason to celebrate.

The Execution: A project of this magnitude required a delicate balance of sensitivity and scale. I managed the end-to-end creative pipeline: from initial concept development and scripting the emotive narratives to location scouting and capturing high-end cinematography across the borough. I handled the full post-production suite, including a broadcast-level edit and sound design, ensuring the final delivery was polished, poignant, and perfectly aligned with the Council’s strategic goals. The client received a legacy-defining campaign; I took care of every moving part from pitch to premiere.

Common Questions About Brand Films

How much does a brand film cost? Brand film budgets vary widely with scope, talent, locations and deliverables. Most projects fall between £2,500 and £10,000. I provide a bespoke quote after an initial conversation about your goals and story.

What's the typical timeline? From first conversation to delivery, most brand films run on a 4–8 week schedule. Larger productions can take longer.

Can you film outside Northern Ireland? Yes — I’m primarily a belfast videographer but I regularly film across Ireland and the UK, and have filmed in London for BBC commissions. International work is also possible.

Do you handle the whole project, or just the shoot? I run the full pipeline — concept, direction, shoot, edit, motion graphics, sound design, colour grade, and delivery. Clients hire me as a single, accountable point of contact.
