Trevor Birney's feature‑length documentary profiles Senator George J. Mitchell, the US politician whose calm, strategic diplomacy was key to brokering the 1998 Good Friday Agreement. The film traces Mitchell’s remarkable journey—from a modest upbringing in Maine, through service as a judge and US Senate majority leader, to his pivotal role as President Clinton's Special Envoy to Northern Ireland.

Inspired by Mitchell's own experiences—including his early work in US Army counter‑intelligence in Berlin—the film reveals how he honed the interpersonal skills that later proved decisive in neutralizing distrust and building consensus in Belfast . Interviews featuring political figures: Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, Gerry Adams, Bertie Ahern and Nancy Pelosi.
